Halloween 2017 Our photo-shoot for Halloween 2017 was a little more daring then the previous one. I wanted a horror scene, with a sprinkling of Halloween. The location is the gym-shower at the school where I use to work (with their permission of course). These showers were spacious enough but unfortunately, had a large skylight right above it. This was inconvenient; having the room dark would give us control over the lighting and shadows (adding contrast and atmosphere). We did our very best to cover the skylight with a tarp… it fell down before we could even start. This time, instead of using cheap pumpkin lanterns, I carved an actual pumpkin and was quite happy with the result. Surprisingly, carving pumpkins wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. The jars are filled with candy and lemonade. Most of the candy quickly became unrecognizable, so that didn’t quite work out the way I hoped either. A lot of ups and downs but it’s all something to be learned from. |
