Weapons

Always try to keep your distance, Alice isn't good in a melee fight, luckily many of her weapons will allow you to do so. Some weapons can be found multiple times, the Demon Dice can be upgraded when being picked up more than once. My favorite weapons were the Jackbomb, Jacks, Cards and the Blade.
Vorpal Blade

Vorpal Blade

Primary attack: Slash at your enemies. Underwater this will be your defense against pesky fish, kill them before they get you.
Secondary attack: Throw the knife for a medium amount of damage. Once thrown, the knife will take time to reappear. This item will stay useful the entire game as it doesn't require meta-essence.
Cards

Cards

Primary attack: Repeatedly throw a single card that follows the target. Handy against flying or very small targets.
Secondary attack: Throw a bunch of cards towards the target that will explode on impact (similar to a shotgun blast).
Mallet

Mallet

Primary attack: Bash your enemy for some decent damage but try to stay out of melee range if possible.
Secondary attack: Electrified croquet ball (ranged). Doesn't do as much damage as your knife but can be used repeatedly.
Jackbomb

Jackbomb

Primary attack: Explosion. Throw this at a group or a strong enemy, it will explode after a second or two.
Secondary attack: Rotating Flame-thrower / explosion. This is an absolutely great attack for large number of enemies and many bosses!
Icewand

Icewand

Primary attack: Ice beam that will drain your energy fast so use it sparsely. This weapon was very useful against Lava men and the mad hatter (boss).
Secondary attack: Wall of ice (temporary). I've yet to find a use for this one...
Jacks

Jacks

Primary attack: Barrage. This is probably one of the best weapons to use on enemies that are close and don't fly.
Secondary attack: Throw a whole bunch of them for a single attack that damages and knocks back.
Demon Dice

Demon Dice

Primary/secondary attack: This may summon one of three types of demons. Dice can't be used at boss fights and I haven't found them useful in most situations. Perhaps this weapon is more suitable at higher difficulty levels.
Eyestaff

Eyestaff

Primary attack: Beam similar to the icewand. It takes a while to charge but it is very powerful.
Secondary attack: Meteor shower. I've tried it once and found it useless.
Blunderbuss

Blunderbuss

Primary/secondary attack: Requires a full meta-essence bar and will blast it all in one savage attack. You can find it earlier in the game in a secret area but it is also available at the very least boss.
Deathtime Watch

Deathtime Watch

Primary/secondary: Once a level you can freeze time for 20 seconds. This item will be required for at least one puzzle. You can't use this item on boss fights.
Rage Box

Rage Box

Power-up: This will give you a power boost. You will find this item a few times during the game but it's hardly necessary to use it if the game is on medium difficulty. The animation of Alice turning into a demon is pretty nice.
Grasshopper Tea

Grasshopper Tea

Power-up: You turn into an insect hybrid that is able to jump past her enemies with ease. I've seen this item on my last play through but had no idea what it was and ignored it.
Looking Glass

Looking Glass

Power-up: After picking up this item you will turn invisible for a short period. I've found this item by accident but didn't find it useful on medium difficulty.
