Drawings

I've been drawing ever since I was old enough to hold a pencil. If you wanted to buy me something for my birthday then pens and paper were usually the way to go. The first two drawings, the cat and dragon were the most recent, many of the others are over ten years old. Read more...

Doodles

Doodles

I have thousands of little drawings, stacks of notepads full of them. Most are a bit dated but I still enjoy scribbling once a while, I'll try to add them when I can. Doodling is a great way to sharpen your drawing skill and to keep busy. Many of my older doodles are studies of the female anatomy, I've never been good at drawing men. Looking back I do seem to use a lot of the same poses. More recently I've enjoyed scribbling cats. Read more...

Comic

Etching

Etching is an old printing technic which I was able to try my hand at in June of 2017. I followed a full course from preparing the metal plate to the creation of several prints. Although etching has no practical application is was a very enjoyable experience.

Comic

Comic

About 20 years ago I had a very vivid dream and it inspired me to create a comic. I started out full of enthusiasm which unfortunately began to wane half way through and eventually fizzled out. I found that coloring all those pages was a lot more work than I thought, my drawings didn’t look as good as when I first started them and technology back then wasn’t as advanced as it is now, making proper speech bubbles challenging. So the comic is unfinished but I still wanted to share it. Read more...

Bookmark

Bookmark

Anyone that loves reading books will own at least one or more bookmarks. After reading a multitude of books I thought it would be a fun idea to make my own bookmark. Using Adobe Illustrator I created a bookmark with a black cat in a Jungle on a green background. My friend commented that I should have it printed on a t-shirt which I’m planning to do in the near future. Read more...

Plant Pots

Plant Pots

In 2015 I bought a whole bunch of different carnivorous plants but unfortunately I didn’t have any pots to place them in. So I decided to make some myself. As these aren’t your average plant it needed to be something special, something creepy even. The first was based on a really cool creation by Carter Reid owner of thezombienation.com. From this many more ideas flowed naturally. Read more...

Oddish Plant Pot

Oddish Plant Pot

The Pokemon Oddish is one of my favorites! It's such a simple looking Pokemon and that's what makes it is so cute! I once saw an example of a plant pot in the shape of an Oddish on Google and I just loved the idea! Read more...

Little Clay Pots

Little Clay Pot

November of 2014 I had gone on vacation to Vietnam. In Vietnam they love bonsai trees and I thought they were wonderful as well. On my return I thought about making little bonsai trees of my own. First I created a little clay pot and then placed an apple seed in it. I assumed apple trees could become a nice tree as they will eventually also blossom. Read more...

Diorama

Diorama

It's been a while since I started this little project but I'm hoping to continue it within the next few weeks. I'm not sure how the idea came to me but I wanted to make a wizard tower on top of a hill. Read more...

Poppy Castle

Poppy Towers

When the poppy flower wilts it leaves behind a seed pod. This seed pod is a ball or oval shape with a flat deck on the top and little holes just beneath where seeds come out once the pod has dried sufficiently. One day in autumn, I was walking past someone garden and saw a lot of these pods. My first thought was how much they looked like little castle towers without the point end. Read more...

Alien Plushy

Alien Plushy

A friend showed me a "how to make a plushy" article and asked if this would be something I'd like to make. I thought this was a great idea but I wanted to make something else then what the article described. So I created an alien Plushy. I'm not a 100% happy with the result so think I'll make another one. Spider Plushy

Spider Plushy

A little while after making the alien plushy I wanted to create something else but much bigger! I wanted it to be an animal and after a while I settled on a spider plushy. As it is much larger I decided not to stitch it by hand but asked my mother to assist me using her sewing machine. It’s now my favorite pillow as I can wrap it’s arms around me. Read more...

Blanket Fix

Paw Print, duvet fix

About a year ago I was given a double duvet for helping a friend move house. I absolutely loved it but unfortunately one of them had a large tear in it (one of her dogs had gotten to it while they lay downstairs). So I decided to fix it using one of my favorite fabrics, fleece! Fleece is very tough and soooooo soft! Stitching by hand I covered the tear on both sides with fleece in the shape of a dog/cat paw.

Asian Style Lamp

Asian Style Lamp

Years ago a friend had a project from school, he needed to design a lamp. While shopping for parts I thought it would be nice to create one as well. I don’t remember how the idea came to me but I found some cloth-hangers that would be perfect for using in my design. Read more...

Aztec Temple

Aztec Temple

In April I started the creation of a little Aztec/Mayan style temple using wood and clay. This is one of the best project I even made. It was quite a lot of work, I made a few mistakes, but also learned a lot. Read more...

Coconut Village

Coconut Village

I had a lot of coconut shells and decided to use them and create a village for the front garden. I setup three houses and a little garden with a scarecrow but ran into problems after just a few weeks. Seems the wood-glue I had used wasn’t capable of withstanding the elements. Many of the houses started to fall apart and I tried to fix them with a different type of glue. Read more...

PC Cabinet

PC Cabinet

I’ve created a wooden cabinet for my second PC screen to stand on. For the longest time it stood on an ugly little crate that wasn’t even the right height. The cabinet design is based on my HAF912 computer case and is also functional, it’s possible to place things inside but.. because of a design flaw it is a little hard to open. Read more...

Picture Frame

Picture Frame

For the longest time I had two old picture frames that I wanted to fix up. The idea was to give them a cat theme and once finished place photographs of cats my downstairs neighbors and I own(ed). Both picture frames are complete and hanging in our shared hallway. It wasn’t an easy project but the result was well worth the trouble. Read more...

Hama Beads

Hama Beads

I'm not entirely sure how I got into this hobby but I've had so much fun making pixel art that I just had to share. You place little plastic beads on a board to make decorative designs. Once your design is completed you melt them together using a hot clothing-iron. Read more…

Toilet Roll

Toilet Roll Ideas

At many companies they make use of an "automatic" toilet roll system. The roll is held in the dispenser by two plastic sides. As a cleaner, I have access to a lot of these and for a while I wondered if I could use the empty rolls and plastic sides for something creative. Read more...

Oblivion Diary

Oblivion Diary

We’ve all seen a magic book in movies and or games. One of those creepy hide covered books with strange languages and demonic drawings. It’s been a while since I made this one and I haven’t quite competed it yet. I’m still missing two stones on the cover, text and illustrations. Recently I’ve decided to try and make an Oblivion diary. Read more...

Dragonhead Headdress

Dragonhead Headdress

A few years ago I had made a costume for a Halloween party. I was going to be a dragon priestess. A sexy red dress, lots of (fake)gold jewelry and the dragonhead on my head. The dragonhead was made using paper-mâché, it had glowing red eyes (Ping-Pong balls with lights) and the feather-boa had lights as well. The dragonhead wasn’t perfect, to tell the truth it didn’t look that great, I was in a bit of a hurry to get it done. Regrettably the Halloween party ended up being cancelled and it ended up on top of a bookcase collecting dust. I’m thinking of fixing it up one of these days so I can mount it on the wall. I’m not sure if I should continue using paper-mâché or if I should try my hand at clay again. Read more...

Easter 2018

Easter 2018

I have a Facebook page and although I’m not very active, I do like to change my profile picture/cover depending on the season and during holiday events. In March I discovered that you can also use animated covers and thought it would be nice to create one for Easter. Within a week I created handmade ‘puppets’, recorded their movements with a GoPro and edited it into a short clip with Adobe Premiere. Read more…

Halloween2018

Halloween 2018

This was quite a large project! With a handmade costume, custom props, expensive wig and specific weather requirements. It was also one of the most successful photo-shoots so far! We had SO many good photo’s that it was hard to choose, many requiring little to no editing at all. Read more…

Halloween2017

Halloween 2017

This photo-shoot was a little more elaborate and audacious. I’m not entirely sure where the idea came from but I wanted to create a horror scene with a hint of Halloween. Using what I learned the previous year I improved on this project. Nonetheless I quickly found I had much more to learn while working on this project. Read more…

Halloween2016

Halloween 2016

As I was getting a little more active on social media such as Facebook and I thought it would be fun to have a Halloween photo-shoot. This first session wasn’t very extensive. Most of the clothing and props were store bought and the location was only a short drive away. We did find that night photography was quite challenging. Read more…

Kitsune Cosplay

Kitsune Cosplay

On Saturday 23 April 2016 my best friend Remco Jakma and I went to the Elf Fantasy Fair at castle Haar in Haarzuilens. Remco went to photograph the event and I thought it would be fun to go in costume. A few months before the event my mother and I worked super hard on a kitsune costume. Read more...

Willow

Willow (Don’t Starve)

For Dutch Comic Con 2016 I created a cosplay resembling Willow from the game Don’t Starve. Luckily the clothing was rather easy. The hard but also fun part was recreating the lighter the game character carries with her. The lighter ended up one of my best creations!
