Caterpillars

Next year spring I was planning to keep caterpillars of the Cinnabar Moth. It’s a very common species and they look like very lively little bandits. They should be easy to find and hopefully easy to keep. I’ve planted Ragwort seeds in a pot and am hopeful that I’ll have fully grown plants before next summer. If I succeed in growing enough Ragwort and find caterpillars, I’ll add pictures and information of their growing process. Read more...

Every year between March and April, frogs and toads travel back to the pond they were born to lay their eggs. Frogs and toads don't have it easy, they die while crossing the road, tadpoles get eaten by many animals and their habitat in general is destroyed by construction and poison. Frogs and toads might not be cute and furry but they are a very important link in the food-chain. You can assist these critters by supporting them in their first few months of life. Read more...

In 1999 I was the proud owner of a cute little green iMac. One of the great things about having a mac was the ability to easily create icons. This was one of my favorite pastimes. I wasn't the only one that enjoyed making icons and so I ended up with quite a collection. It's a shame that Windows doesn't provide a default option to modify and create custom icons. Read more...

I’m not much of a writer and my spelling and grammar are probably atrocious (English isn’t my native language). Even so, sometimes I’m inspired and pick up the pen. Some of these were created because of dreams and might not make much sense as I just wrote down what I saw, heard and felt. Other stories are more complete as I wrote them for friends.
